Umecrine Cognition AB was founded as a subsidiary to Umecrine AB. The company is active in research and development within the field of GABA steroids and inhibitors of such steroids within the indication area of Alzheimer´s disease. The company develops pharmaceutical agents against negative mental and neurological symptoms caused by endogenous CNS-active stress- and sex steroids. The portfolio of the company includes a number of newly discovered lead compounds that are under investigation.
